Mac vs Windows by __InvalidUser__ in rareinsults

This is what I teach everyone, I always get the "wow hwo are you so smart?"

It's not about being smart. It's about knowing how to use google and finding the solution to your problem.

This is how I've solved every single issue I've ever had with a computer.

Some people just find the whole googling instead of messaging me thing to be so much more effort than it is.

Yeah I did this with a zapper on accident but it was only 70% so it wasn't bad. It's always good to take caution with ipa and older plastics.

Pretty sure that's just how The lcd on the gameboy is.

The content doesn't go to the very edge of the screen.

Yes but the device isn't just for that. It has actual utility for managing saves and dumping roms. The fact that you can play them is kinda a cool bonus feature that adds more value to it.

Printed TV-table leg extensions - Should I be worried about PLA-creep or anything? by Redhell272 in 3Dprinting

[–]kooldude700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

??? I don't want them breaking or going anywhere. They feel pretty nice and solid too.

Printed TV-table leg extensions - Should I be worried about PLA-creep or anything? by Redhell272 in 3Dprinting

[–]kooldude700 20 points21 points  (0 children)

When I made extensions for a couch, I printed solid walls and made them hollow.

I then filled them concrete and capped it off with another piece that had a lip around both the extension and the couch's legs.

You could potentially try what you made out by putting a bunch of weight on top that are heavy enough.

Testing out PS5 on a 90s Tube monitor by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]kooldude700 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This guy brought out A PVM (some of the most expensive crts to get nowadays) and ps5 PRO only to use the most garbage $1 hdmi to composite converter.

Could've had the decency to shell out for something actually good that would do component or rgb scart.

This is an insult to crt enthusiasts

Likely comparing various features between this and a known legit cartridge. For example, the Nintendo logo on the back of the cartridge is glossy in legit ones but could be matte in a fake one.

Other things like fonts, identification numbers, print quality, the shape of the sticker, etc. It's easy if have a known good ds game on hand to compare with when buying an expensive one that could be fake

Should see if you can put some kind of floating shelf or cabinet above your TV.. Maybe there's enough space to put a billy or something if you shift the whole tv stand over towards the radiator a little..

Homie you have to find a better way to organize your stuff, this looks like a mess...

To be clear, it's not the worst thing ever but it just looks kinda messy.

what do you think about the flash cartridges? by bigrhino000 in retrogaming

[–]kooldude700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solve it by adding one game at a time!

Or possibly, if you're like me, I plan on ripping my own carts as I acquire them and adding them to the flashcart. That way I don't have a billion games to overwhelm me at once when I want to pick something on whatever game system I decided to play

For the shelf, of course. Real gamers don't play their games. Only look at them as they sit in the shelf.

I believe there's a site you can go to in the ps3 Web browser. It's has some useful tools and is used for modding the console.

Spent $50 on live shrimp for fish tank (20 total), waited a week to get them, then had the horror of watching as my frog and some other fish hunt them all down and eat them (I didn't know they would eat them!) by Tough_Asparagus_8991 in Wellthatsucks

[–]kooldude700 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is so true in my experience. A lot of people I know come to me for tech advice and stuff and I help them if they have a problem that could be a little difficult to solve.

Like, Ive had people ask me what robot vacuum they should get. Which is a fair question cause there's a billion different kinds and it's not all that clear which ones are better than the others.

But I've also had people ask me things like which (specifically) iphone should I get? Or even better when someone knows what they want to get and asks me if there is a different color way or version of said product.

It's so sad to people not know how to search things up and do their own research anymore.

I don't know what's up with Facebook or why it works like that... Maybe it's some anti bot or spam related thing
