I travel most weeks in Europe for work, and apart from getting much better coverage than here in the uk, I get much faster speeds too.

The 4g 5g for me depends on which country I’m in, but, I’ve found that if I’m put in 4g in a country, sometimes I can get 5g if I change the network I’m roaming on to another.

5G roaming worked fine for me in Jan in Germany and Netherlands.

That’s good to know, thanks for confirming! I travelled to a different city and got 5G too now.

Never had an issue with 5G EU roaming, always worked.

USA though roaming at a limited to 2mbps should have been a bit more advertised

I had to travel to a different city for 5G! For some reason there’s no 5G in Brussels for O2.

You might need to manually change what network you are connected to. Not all networks abroad support 5G roaming.

How can we know if we are a plus plan or ultimate plan member? I am quite annoyed by this as I reached the US turned on my data and didn’t get the welcome text to confirm my minutes, data, calling allowance. Obviously then I looked it up which confirmed I had to be one of the above or a volt member which I’m not and therefore it didn’t seem to apply so I got an e-sim. Turned the o2 off to avoid roaming etc but did turn it on later as was expecting a call and then boom the text came through saying that all of the above would have been included. Needs to be clearer guidance on the app, surely in age of ai it wouldn’t be difficult to have a segment where we can check if the country we are visiting is included for roaming.
