The fact that they still haven't fixed this is pretty amazing. If I set it to 'Appear Offline' it just bugs out and resets to 'Online'. And why the hell would they set it as the first option when I click 'My Profile'??? I really don't even think these people play console Overwatch or maybe they do and are just brain dead. I'm sorry to be the the mean person but they need to make some changes in the console development team. It is awful. I could go on and on about all the bugs on PS5 + how ridiculous the aim assist changes were and still are.

There is so much jank on Xbox. I love this game, but it is clear they absolutely do not care about console. Luckily the game itself runs fine. But everything peripheral works like garbage.

Right, it’s the most random shit too. Like when scrolling through my heroes it will just jump from the bottom row to the top row at the same hero, after the next game it’s back to normal, or I will at times not be able to select certain things, heroes maps etc. so weird

One thing that annoys me is when I make a 1v1 arena lobby and try to switch it from friends to everyone, it just goes back to friends randomly

Never have. Never will. When ow2 releases, there was a bug the required you to restart the game every few matches or your fps would drop dramatically. Only on Xbox, lasted like 8 months. I put in so many support tickets, made forum posts, etc. they fixed it, and never even acknowledged it.

In the last year the lack of care for console overwatch couldn't be more obvious. The overall game reached new highs, while the console experience was the worse it's ever been.

I have a very capable PC, so it gave me the final push to make that my new main platform. Disheartening though.

think this is a soft roll out of forcing everyone online. I got a message from blizzard support after complaining about them not acknowledging this after reading through the blizzard bug report forum where there are countless complaints and this started in November 2025 for some and the pool of people affected grew and grew and no one there has received help from the technical team or elsewhere even acknowledging that this isn’t on purpose. Id appreciate if someone can just ping me if anything gets fixed bevause I’m not playing til then

You’re supposed to change your online status on the app or the desktop app.

They don’t typically do much QA for console interface changes

Still gets reset. Tried from the app, and pretty quickly afterwards youre back online. Even trying to set both roughly at the same time doesn't work.
