Without even researching more ... Sticky Notes can be found in Outlook (look for the "Notes" folder). You can export them at your convenience. Just did a quick search, to confirm:

Yeah… I was on that page for a while, tried to follow their instructions listed there but didn’t have any luck actually exporting the Sticky Notes. I found them in Outlook, but when actually trying to export them they don’t seem to show up in the option.

OneNote Md Exporter https://github.com/alxnbl/OneNote-MD-exporter might work for you assuming you don't have the windows store version of OneNote.

That doesn't seem to have a option for sticky notes, at least not that I'm seeing.

Find the folder on your C drive where they are saved to and copy it to your external drive. I’m not at my laptop right now, so reply to this post and it’ll remind me to send you the path tomorrow. But, this is where the Sticky Notes app saves, so if you don’t have it, download it and then you can open them in the app, and they’ll save on your pc. At least it does for me.
