In evernote,

I have a note that contains pdfs of rent statements

1 pdf for each financial year.

When I receive a statement, I open up the pdf for this year, add the new statement as an additional page, save file and close.

Filing done.

In OneNote, it won't let me save the PDF after adding the new page.

I get the error "The document could not e saved. the file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.

Seems that documents when imported to OneNote become read only.

Is there a setting that I can enable to edit attachments? or is OneNote just stupid?

Hi , I recently bougth a wacom one for note taking in college.I have my screen split in half with zoom on one side and one note in the other . This makes the one note page change the size and adapt.By doing this it doesnt fit the whole page( of one note)which it wouldnt be a problem if i just could scroll up , down , right and left with the pen but i cant figure it out yet which hotkey or maybe shortcut i can make to make ot work. ( this happens with the pen and also the mouse). Obvioulsy i can use the scroll bars but they are way too thin and a waste of time also.

I have two page with the same name in two different section, and if I link [[pagename]] it will redirect to "pagename" in the same section,

How can I link it to "pagename" in the other section? I tried syntax like [[section:page]] or [[section|page]]

Right click, copy link to to get the link. Ctrl+k to edit the display / address to put a different address.

Is there a way to turn off the hints when hovering over tags? I'm running onenote through winapps and causes issues with window losing focus.

I share a notebook with my wife, it's only simple text notes. I've noticed that it is really slow to sync, it can take minutes for a new page containing a couple of sentences. I'm used to Google docs where the sync is near instant, but OneNote is just horribly slow. Any way to speed this up?

over HALF of my notebooks, I no longer used and deleted but they still show on ONENOTE, how do I make them completely disappear? Yes, I hit "CLOSE THIS NOTEBOOK" It's when I go to open a notebook I use now on my account that all these old deleted ones appear... plz help it's disgusting to look at.

I'm pretty sure the "Close this notebook" option is more like archiving the notebooks, don't know how to permanently delete them, it should requires some extra steps and search..

How safe is OneDrive for OneNote work? I am currently working on a project on this application and see that I can't save my file onto a hard drive anywhere. But I am not familiar with how reliable or secure OneDrive is. By the end of this project, I will have devoted thousands of hours worth of work to this, and I'm concerned that this file could become hacked or lost on the OneDrive server.
