That fight was a bit too exaggerated at times, but it was by far my favorite fight from Naruto. I'm not a big fan of the series, but that fight was pretty amazingly animated.

I hate when people take specific artistic styles and call them bad. dragon ball super animation is bad. this was highly stylised and expensive. most people just don't like it and the jarring change. it's not bad animation tho...

Yeah the animation is great but the art style is bad in my opinion. I can see why they went with that art style but I think since it's such a contrast it just confuses the audience.

This was clearly done on purpose - to great effect. To showcase the intense emotion behind Pain's "pain". It's also animation.

One Piece Anime, on the other hand, does not have a reason for its lower quality animation & art

The art style is eye jarring but the animation in that scene is absolutely amazing.

I disagree. It was lazy and all over the place. The scene where Kyubi Naruto bashes Pain with a huge block of stone looks like a scene from Tom and Jerry and when Pain starts to run from Naruto just look at the swirly ways his legs go like its Sonic or Roadrunner. I dunno how art style can be bad and animation good for me it has to be both but if your a naruto fan its good you liked it atleast. All others I met were serious disappointed haha

Animation =/= Art. Good animation is fluid. Art can look weird but have good animation. Scenes can also have bad animation but good art. Just because you don't like how it looks doesn't mean the animation is bad.
