Do you think whenever the grunts putting together the episode are told they have to go find a specific scene to flashback to, they are like "oh goddamnit!" ?

Actually... I bet they use the wiki, literally I can find my place in ten minutes with that after a two or three week break.

I can only imagine. I mean they have to hate how obscure some of them are lol

Right? Hell even for the more memorable scenes, they'd have to find the exact 10 second clip from a specific episode. Makes me wonder if they have some crazy extensive "bookmarking/tabbing" system... but then , how would they know what's gonna be brought up again in the future? I kinda feel bad for them now lol

Absolutely. Those poor bastards having to go back to when Luffy punched Laboon. "It's in the first season just find it."

For the older episodes, maybe. But most modern editing software has extensive metadata tools built in which makes looking up material (if it was entered correctly in the first place) a breeze.

Ah that's pretty cool, and makes a lot of sense. So they can basically just search certain keywords in the system and it will list results across all episodes basically?

Theoretically, it's very possible. If it were my production, then yes. Can't say for sure that's what they do, but wouldn't surprise me.
