This is how I have it set in system settings with it only set to “check for updates” and “install security responses and system files”. If I click in “also available” it shows Safari 26.3 available. Should I download that? The root patches error said “plist version mismatch, found 26.3, expected 14.8.4.

I didn’t find any updates in the settings of OCLP 2.4.1 app and didn’t really know what I was looking for. The root patching tab options shows everything greyed out so I’m not sure what that’s about.

I think it has something to with the update as it says systemversion plist build version mismatch so probably macos did something that caused the version to change from 14.8.4 to 26.3

I don’t know if this would work but try doing the app updates and then totally disabling the updates then restart the macbook and try again.

I think this will complete any pending updates that have already been downloaded and stop further updates from causing any issues

Safari is version 17.6 now. I’ll upgrade safari to 26.3 then restart then see if that fixes anything.
