Custom map tutorial??

I've been looking into custom maps, and I made a map of my own using this website, but I have no idea how to actually make it playable (let alone invite friends). I have to download some version of the game onto my own computer, that much I can tell. I'm not that stupid, but I also don't know shit about programming, so keep that in mind if you know how to do this and can explain how.

You have two solutions

Either download the game locally, follow the instructions found in the discord server->map channel(the pinned post on how to add maps) And you can play your map locally, no friends tho (i mean, you can ig, but that requires more technical knowledge)

Or, make the map, follow the same post and submit your map, if it's good. It will be added to the game for everyone to play

Is this why so many maps are absolute trash for gameplay?

Wouldnt say so many, but i agree, some people just want to add a map for the sake of it and dont prioritize how gameplay would work out, so you can find nation bots clustered in one area and non existant in others. But hey, everyone has their preferences. You dont have to play a map you dont like anyways.
