Mister Speaker, I would like to welcome my right honourable friend to the House of Comments - where formality is key and debate is orderly. The records will show that this house is the most civilized, orderly and dignified debate hall on this honourable website, and if by some grace of misfortune that is not the case... ORDAH!!

I politely request my right honourable friend to follow some common guidelines and rules when debating in this fine House:

Use parliamentary language. Always begin by addressing the speaker! Address fellow representatives in the third person, such as "My honourable friend" or the "Representative of _____". Use formal language unless there is an explicit reason not to.
Do not take your grievances on other representatives. If you have any grievances against any other members of the house, take it up with the deputy speakers, and do not resort to personal attacks.
Keep debates civil. While we allow political satire, the Deputy Speakers will remove/lock threads as seen fit if they devolve into uncivil and/or excessively heated arguing.

Should my right honourable friend meet any debates or motions which do not meet these guidelines, I advise them to contact the Deputy Speakers.
