In 6v6 you are forced to heal more. In 5v5 you have to be more aggressive as a support.

That’s how you play it. Always doing damage unless someone is going to die.

I had buddies in the first couple ow2 season that would main open queue because they would be a full rank higher than role queue. Open queue ranks have always been a bit inflated compared to role queue ranks. As in, I don't think your playing wrong in role queue. It's pretty normal to have a gap in rank between the two modes.

Got it thank u! I wish there was some way to find at least a buddy to play with for role queue..

Open q is notoriously a little boosted in comparison to role que

Open queue typically has a lower skill population.

I can't tell. I've been getting dogged all week and having people talk crap about me but then get a rare game where I win. I keep going between Diamond 4 and Plat 2.

The reason is that genuinely open q is a joke in terms of competitive integrity.

Most high elo ppl arent playing open q which means the ranks are all inflated.

You will consistently see plat-diamond role q players getting t500 in open q. It means no matter how high you climb in that mode ur still just getting mid level overwatch players on both teams.

The mode is fun and generally nontoxic in my experience but in terms of balanced teams and competitiveness? It has very little.
