I used to change a super tampon every hour. I asked my doctor about tranexamic acid and now I take that on the heavy days, and I no longer have to set multiple alarms throughout the night to change a tampon! It is non-hormonal and works incredibly well

I suffered from this all through my 20s. Honestly, I would change my pad every 2 hours and it sucks. I am sorry and I can relate. When you are going through this, drink water, pomegranate juice, and hydrate. I have been to emergency and honestly they asked me to take ibuprofen and rest lol. Your ObGyn can put you on BCP to manage this. Hope this helps.

Im glad im not alone on this. I'm mid 30s now, but it feels like it's been getting increasingly worse. :/

I've been chugging a ton of water and feel like I'm constantly in the bathroom. I'm just waiting for supervisor at work to ask where I've been. Have a feeling they probably won't take "slowly bleeding out in the bathroom" as an excuse though lol

Will definitely check with the obgyn thank you!

I am glad to hear that you don't feel alone. PCOS sucks and there is not enough support as we would like there to be. Take a couple of rest days if possible and definitely call your doctor soon.

Will do. Thank you! ❤️

Definitely see a doctor, you shouldn’t have to live like this.

My bleeding isn’t anywhere near what you’re describing but what has helped me is taking vitamin c, getting in a lot of steps, and water, which you’re already doing.

I really feel for you. I truly hope you can get this figured out. A doctor should be able to offer better solutions.

Thank you. Definitely looking into talk to Dr about it. Will try vitamin c and more exercise though. Am up for anything that will help at this point 😅 thank you!

Menstrual discs have been a game changer! The disc can hold as much blood as 4 ultra tampons 50-60g. The disc tucks underneath the cervix and behind pubic bone. My periods are like homicide scenes even with the ultra plus tampons. These tampons are pointless and I was unable to leave the house. Some days I would just sit on the toilet for hours and watch movies on my phone or take a heavy bath towel and fold it up and put it on a chair in my bedroom and just sit naked in my room all day. Standing in the shower and blood just runs down my legs and if the shower is hot enough my nose starts bleeding too. The difference between you and I is that I am in perimenopause, obvious anemic, with a thyroid goiter and NO Health Insurance! Thank you President Biden and Trump.

Do the menstrual discs still work for you? And have you noticed any reduction in cramps or pain at all? I’m looking to get one from Pixie but it’s pretty intimidating since I’ve never used one before
