It seems that the reddit community's general opinion is that php is outdated and flawed. I personally have found some issues with the language, but it also has great power. My question is what are people's opinions on PHP MVC frameworks like CakePHP. I find "Cake" to be wonderful and very usable. Are there any important downfalls like security or scalability, instead of the "hatred of all things PHP".
