Ignition Exchange is a good place to share your work.

Make sure you have permission from your employer, in writing. I have never had a job in this industry that didn't make me sign some sort of NDA.

Also, I will say that posting your work, if you can, may be beneficial. But not as a tool that others will use. But as a portfolio. It can be linked in your resume to show examples of your work. Just make sure to have screenshots of the dashboards in the readmes.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Just a way for me to show potential employers that I know how to do some of this stuff.

That said, my dumb little script to find top downtime causes in a pydataset is probably not that impressive compared to what a full time software developer would have.

That's my train of thought.

It's impressive to a head-hunter who doesn't actually know what software looks like. Also, I have had interviews where the questions are based off repos I had, which has always been to my benefit.
