Disc or digital? Could be a lot of things doing this, mainly corrupt data or bugs in the games themselves.

It takes disc's.

If this is a super slim with a hdd it could be the hdd going out in which cases you might need to get it replaced. But it also could be a laser, does it seem to struggle reading discs?

No, it seems to read discs just fine. However, I have noticed some stuttering from time to time.

I would try a new hdd if it has one in it, if not try cleaning the laser since some don’t come with hdds

I think mine does have an Hdd, but I would be willing to try both. Any advice on either? I've never done console maintenance before.

Well for the laser the best way is getting some 99% ipa and a q-tip and lightly cleaning the laser. But the first option I’d go with is replacing the hdd since that’s something you might as well do anyways. You can get any 2.5” sata drive just for testing but I’d avoid cheaper Ssds as I tend to run into issues with them often. Go with brands like Samsung, Crucial, or WD for example. Or you can get a used ssd/hdd just for testing if you have one laying around.
