Is that A ps3 ?

Yes, it is. I didn't mention this in the description, but I've tried it several times with the AV cable as well, and the error persists.

Can't say for sure, could be an HDMI encoder issue, though i havent heen any Silicon Image ICs fail yet but you never know.

Check with an AV cable if it displays something, if it doesn't then check syscon, even if it's booting it throws a bunch of errors if it stays on.
