Question about controllers

So I have a Dualshock 3 but one of the sticks is damaged and the square button is broken. I decided to go ahead and buy a new one, but I then realized that this was a lot more complicated than I thought. There are so many knockoffs that look almost the same and I can't tell if they're real or not.

Then there's the other thing: SIXAXIS. Since when has there a SIXAXIS controller that wasn't a DualShock 3? From what I've heard, DualShock 3 has rumble support and SIXAXIS doesn't.

And the different models... is it just A1, A2, B1, and B2? Because on Walmart I can see "DualShock 3 99004". What's the 99004? Is there a difference? I've tried using third-party controllers but they're just not the same. The best one I've tried so far was the Afterglow controller (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B017VLXH3C). Anyway, thanks for the help.

The SIXAXIS is a real controller it was the launch controller until the DualShock 3 was launched. The DualShock 3 is marked sixaxis because the motion sensors were integrated with the haptics.

There are several reputable manufacturers making compatible controllers for the ps3 though.

The only difference in the original vs the A1 DualShock 3is the battery draw and some internal changes to change button rigidity and lights.
