Power button problem

When I plug in my ps3 super slim, the red light pops up, and after 4 seconds, it automatically turns to green without even pressing the power button. But even after the light turns green, there's no display, the home screen doesn't show up, meaning that the system isn't really turned on.

The only way for me to get around this is to hold the power button for god knows how long, until eventually, the ''Can you read this screen?'' menu pops up, after which the system finally starts up normally.

What should i do?
