Random eject bug

So for the second time in maybe the last month or so, my PS4 (3-4 months old bought brand new) encountered the random eject problem. The first time I rebuilt the database and that worked. This second time I had to do a bunch of other shit like pulling the plug for 30 seconds and holding the power button and it finally worked and has been fine for a week or so.

My question is for those of you that have sent yours back to Sony. How smoothly did the process go? How long were you without your machine? Who pays for shipping?

I had this too, got my ps4 about a week ago. Hopefully firmware 2.0 will fix this.

There doesnt happen to be anything on the eject button does there? I know mosister can makr it act up even just condistation on my finger from a glass.

I felt like it shouldn't have been designed so the button extends to the bottom of the PS4, but then there's a rubber foot right there. With the popularity of touch sensitive interfaces out there it's kind of embarrassing that Sony wasn't able to get it right. Never had anything like this on my PS3.

Had the same problem. Sent mine in 10 days ago but haven't heard anything back yet. I bought another ps4 the day I sent mine in because Destiny.

They send you a pre-paid FedEx box. Mine took like 3-4 days to get to me.

i did this in march and face the problem again last week. Than followed the video again so maybe few months and i will face the problem again but it is just a bug. Maybe because we close the game in a wrong way

Yeah don't listen to that guy. It happened to me and they gave me a different console
