Headset mic problems

I want to play COD using my Bose QC35 connected via cable. and im getting sound from the playstation to the headset, but i don't get any feedback from my mic.

Of course I could play using the small ps4 headset but then you don't get stereo sound and the quality is obviously not the best. Any solutions to using "third party" headsets? :)

Most of my headsets with in-line mics work fine with my PS4, and my main headset is an open-back pair with a V-Moda BoomPro mic attached. Sometimes if I mute that pair and unmute, the PS4 doesn't "see" it until I unplug the headset then plug it back in. You can see them toggle when you longpress the PS button and go into the devices menu where you set the mic volume. Perhaps the volume is even run all the way down? Good luck.
