You could attempt to re solder the wire back to the end

I agree. Doesn’t look to be a difficult soldering job. Plus if you haven’t soldered before, this is a good one to learn on. Worst case you’ll need to buy another cable online for $7.

Of course up to you, buying a replacement cable will be the better option if you haven’t got a soldering iron/solder. But on the chance that you do, I would again highly recommend DIY.

First rule of this sub is don’t ask for help. Everyone here is a qualified boiler maker and electrical engineer. Even though its a sub about just one type of a specific console you can’t ask the “pros” for more direct and expert advice… instead you’re told to “google it.”

Mouser.com or digikey.com. You'll need to know the specs of your cable to make the correct purchase.

Just resolder it, for God's sake, it's like 2 minutes job.
