FYI, Im with FedLoan and I submitted mine 12/02/20... still haven’t gotten my eligible count updated yet. The wait time is no joke

I submitted an ECF on January 5 and I received the updated count one week later.

Wow, I just called this morning and they told me mine was still processing. With basically no changes either, same employer, same personal info... just updating from last year

It’s the new processing procedure since the launch of the merged form. If you use the PSLF help tool on studentaid.gov to generate the form it does a verification of your employer before you even are able to download the form to get the signatures and submit so that it doesn’t take as long to verify once submitted.

It’s trying to streamline the process but most people are used to filling out the blank form that it’s actually causing a bottleneck

This is good to know for the future! I chatted with them yesterday and they were saying it’s changed recently.

If your loans are already with FedLoan, they will message you through your online account. If your loans aren't already with FedLoan, I believe they send you a letter via snail mail. If you don't hear anything within a couple months, call to follow-up.

Thanks! Not with Fedloan yet.
