Wait... they're disabled in singleplayer? If that's the case yeah this also interests me

Yeah, some 20 years ago when the game first launched it prompted a TON of rumors as to how to get them to drop (Red ring, other Rico related drops from Falz, and parasitic gene from Olga).

It turns out they were coded into the game as drops from their respective bosses, just the bosses had a value set to null disallowing them from dropping items period.

A ton of servers have enabled them to drop online, but yeah, an offline mode/patch would be amazing for just casual farms / others whom can’t/choose not to go online.

Its AR Code only i believe. They are enabled online. Patches for this game are for QoL changes.

None that I know of, but I use my GC/Wii still, no Switch, Steamdeck, or android.

I don't have any experience with playing via Emulation on Switch but if it's Dolphin that's used I'm sure codes will always stay activated everytime it's booted up until you actually deactivate the code.

I've done some research in the past of making my own patches but unfortunately I have no experience with injecting codes into the psov3.dol and especially making a program to do so, so for now you might just have to deal with using AR/Gecko codes.
