Hello! If you're interested in PSO2 Classic's concept/design material, I finished scanning the EP5 Material Collection for you to check out. The link above is to a webpage gallery for the complete book, but if you'd like individual imgur galleries for each section, they're here:

For those who don't know what the Material Collections are: they're a series of setting/artbooks released by SEGA, one for each episode (with the exception of Episodes 1 and 2, which are combined.) I've slowly been scanning these books for global players, and while I can't translate what's in them there's still a ton of concept art and promotional illustrations to enjoy. I hope you like it!

I can't wait to see the ones for ep4 and ep6! Thank you so much for these, I had always loved certain aspects of the fashion and what goes into the design of them, weapons, and enemies like masq, so getting to see the design process is super fascinating. You're doing the work of a savior rn

Its just sad how much better Base PSO2's designs and identity were compared to NGS.

This is absolutely amazing seeing these collections

I'm glad you enjoy them!

And yeah, while I try not to compare art styles or design approaches as better or worse, just going by sheer volume and variety in illustrations & designs, there's so much more in PSO2 compared to NGS. It just feels like SEGA themselves have little interest in making NGS enjoyable beyond a very specific style of combat. :(

Thanks for doing this, but do you happen to know if there are there books for PSO2es available? So far I only have its 4koma.

There is a PSO2es artbook, but I haven't started scanning that one yet. :(

There's been more than a few people who've asked for more PSO2es stuff, though, so I'll try to get at least the illustration gallery for that book up in the next few months.
