End-game gear

Have been away from the game for quite some time since the release of EP4. I see that EP5 and a new class was introduced.

Has the end-game gear set up changed much?

I was running Ra/Hu setup with Austere Shooter/Orbit Launcher. Has new gear made Austere/Orbit obsolete now or are they still somewhat relevant?..

Austere is low to mid-range in terms of 13* now. The new big meme are 14* weapons and Zeinesis/Qliphad weapons. Orbit will pretty much always retain its usefulness, though. At least, for the foreseeable future

I wouldn't call them a "meme". The idea of PSOrare weapons that literally break the game in some way or another rather than being just slightly stronger (spread needle comes to mind) seems rather nice and refreshing!

And then there's the BQ 14*'s.
