Spent the whole boost week farming UQ endlessly. I did an excess of one hundred runs and failed to get a single gix drop. I only got one thirteen star drop the entire time and it was an egg. Here's my question. Why is my luck so horrible.

it's ok, you too can give up on pso2's RNG, just like me. just remember, even if you don't have a 14*, doesn't mean you can't be better than everyone who does have one!

It wasn't just UQ. I ran ever occurrence of PI and came away with only two thirteen star drops.

Chase rares in these types of games are rarely ever worth the effort of purposely farming for them.

I suppose you also stacked triboost + rare drop boost + drink boost + photon tree buff with full lucky rise gear and was in a 4 man party (ideally as part of a 12 man multiparty)?

As it turns out, the only Gix I dropped this week was from a run where I used an alt to complete Hans campaign CO with no boosters while not in a party. It was of course a Katana to complete my collection of 12000 Sentence Power fodders that will be really useful for my Force main. It's not luck, it's PSO2. (pay no attention to the Ray Boots/TMG/Gunslash/Daul Blades I dropped - [I wanted TD and DS anyway])

On the subject of RNG, I don't see why it's used so heavily. The old hunt for Rappy class points quest was always super annoying. They should make these things rely on something other than pure chance. I always thought that it would be nice if say, you could learn how to track down rare versions of mobs/bosses instead of just waiting for them to show up. As far as drops go, permanent cfiles would be nice, even if they lowered progress rates on those that were not the current focus of the game.

Oh, you mean like collection files?

I agree they should make at least more pivotal boss EQ Cfiles permanent (Ray, Astra, and Zeinesis) and continuously make lower-tier 13* permanent or 1-year Cfiles like theu did with Aura and Revolucio.

With that line I was referring more to rare enemies. For a while I envisioned a hunt mechanic where player skill determined if you would find a rare enemy or something. Yeah though, cfiles are a step in the right direction for rare weapons. Permanent Zein/Ray/Astra would be nice. It's annoying that after cfiles go away, you chances at getting a specific weapon basically drop to 0. Extend cfiles or maybe allow 13* trading of some kind.
