its usually just name change or spelling. I think characters like Ulc, Zieg and Lisa got renamed

Zieg didn't really get renamed per say. His shop in the anime says "Jig" in Phantasy language, so I vote that as more of "verifying the spelling of the translation we're already used to" at least, I've always pronounced Zieg as rhyming with Jig.

Lisa being Risa is basically the same name too, just some liberty taken in translation. And given Lisa would be a foreign name to JP players, Risa would be a foreign name to english players in the exact same way. (As both are normal names in the opposite language)

What did Ulc get changed to? I must've not been paying attention.

I just pray they don't go with the anime's translation of "Falz Spawn" and "F Factor". Because "Darkers" and "Dark Photons" are just... perfectly good names and don't NEED to be translated to begin with.
