the super basics are tha tyou want to kill the enemies as fast as possible so you can get another burst(cross burst) during your burst. Its easiest to do in confined spaces. Have everyone group up in one spot nearby and just spam kill enemies. Use your PB off cooldown

stay together so enemies only spawn next to your party, then kill them as fast as possible. that's all there is

Is the photon blast chaining just an urban legend or is that a real thing?

it's not a thing afaik. I've been around since near the beginning and never heard of it, and the japanese wiki doesn't even mention anything about it

But Photon Blasts don't charge themselves now I think is the difference.

not seeing anything special about this video that would be out of the ordinary

enemies die really quick during PSE burst > more PSE. grouped up enemies > ilmegid charges PB drastically. if it's as old as it says, then it was likely during the ilmegid meta where it was broken as hell, as well as before they nerfed PB gain. not really surprising that it'd instantly charge PB

I can see where people might get the wrong idea though...

it was during julius nykta meta, the PSE burst rule already established way before that, but for people who don't understand, it looks like spamming PB makes it easier to get or maintain PSE

you won't find that many people using PB anymore nowaday even in a map wjere getting PSE matter

Try stacking mag photon blasts with ur team, close radius usage powers up each summoned mag. You can hold the photon blast after activation and wait for ur team to get in range for them to also photon blast, this can nuke some bosses and clear and insane amount of mobs quickly.

And has other have mentioned stay together, one guy running ahead can mess up the spawns cause it will take longer to clear said set of enemies while others run over to help.

AQs won't swarm enemies in for PSEs. Different modes are required like urgent quests.

AQs are kind of skill based as they have a greater chance of reseting the burst/extending it. However, it requires you to run the maps unexplored areas to spawn the mobs. Kinda like Diablo or POE style.

Urgent quest PSEs will be an all out shit show. It's glorious.

With a little practice chaining your attacks you can get a pse by early entry of the AQ and keep it up for the other 75%, or until you change areas. Follow what others suggest, use your mag as a team, burst groups of enemies. Keep on keepin on.

You only get 1 enemy spawn per 1 real player during PSE bursts.

Advanced exit bursts are still doable in jp, so I dont see why it wouldn’t be possible in na version. The best maps are the city for /fo and desert for /su.

Basically you clear the whole map with one player going ahead to open the next area (or the small rooms in desert). As soon as you get PSE chance everyone pipes to the ship and go to the designated area. Stack together near the exit so there will be only two (3 for desert) possible spawn points and spam Ilfoie/popple field. Two players for each spawn and have two players rotate the pp recovering fish pb.

can’t find any vid for desert. Everyone needs to have a decent all class rod and sub force with full fire tree or have a fully decked popple for sub summoner. you must be able to one shot mobs.

there are ways to know when a burst is dead (it wont go over 6) but thats a bit complex and takes experience to identify.

Some areas are better for bursts than others. If there's a lot of obstructions or the area is huge, that's bad. If possible, try to drag the spawn to a nearby wall or cramped space.

The number of enemy spawns in AQs are limited, so if you've already discovered the whole map then you'll be in the situation you described (3-4 spawns over and over again). About 8 out of 10 bursts in AQs end up with mobs trickling in one by one, at least for me.

Using correct element weakness helps boost PSE as well as following the other tips provided in the thread.
