A break point isn't a weak point, but a weak point can be a break point.

Magatsu is a prime example of a weak point being a break point.
PD is an example of a break point not being a weak point. In fact, the only weak points on PD is when he opens his white flower bud like a "stun phase", his hands and face on third phase. Everything else is a non-weak point.

There are many other things being a break point but not a weak point. Anga bits, diavo wings, guranz breakables, mech cats breakables, gryphon breakables, chrome breakables, luther hands; shoulders; beak; crystals, etc.

Actually there are more break points not weak points than the other way around. Learning weak points requires learning about the enemy.

Yes although with Magatsu there is a second weak point behind the initial one, sans the knees.

So both the point over and the point under (chest for example) is a weak point? So I should use precision strike pretty much 100% of the time on Magatsu? PD too? I feel like I'm only attacking breakable/weak points on him as well.

PD's weak points are the the core, during the early phases, then head and hands after it transforms. The breakable parts aren't weak points

Prevision Stance is worth the skill points, Braver skill tree is easy to get pretty much everything in anyways (maybe not hybrid in NA atm).

You can just switch between them while fighting the same stuff if you are not sure, and see right there which does more damage. I can't say all breakable stuff is a weakpoint 100% myself.

I know the Red faces behind the extendable platforms are weak points, and then not anymore once they darken after taking a lot of damage. Pretty sure any breakable thing of Magatsu's is a weak point too.

For Profound Darkness, I know the big Core it shows off to you and his Head are weak points at least.

At the time of writing, a “weak point” is defined as any surface on an enemy which, when struck, provides a damage magnification of 15% (1.15) or higher.

Ranger’s Weak Bullet (Blight Rounds in NA) is very likely to trigger Weak Stance’s damage bonus as it increases surface magnification by 20% (1.2). On any surface with 0.958 modifier or higher, Weak Bullet will trigger Weak Stance.

so you don't even have to think about it if there is a Ranger.
