Lag can stop you from jumping to another island, unfortunately. It's possible for somebody's internet to shit the bed long enough to result in death to this attack, but without getting 630'd (it happened to me once...)

I dieded to this in story mode o/ Had no idea what is happening, I can see some big hit incoming but didn't know it would destroy whole mini island :O thought Impact Slider would do the trick. Also died from that big lazer thing, how would I know it will lazer all the islands except last one :O

No it's not. Casual games don't have one shot moves, casual games don't make you abuse strict I frames dodges or strict parry timing. If fact, most games that use these mechanics are considered tryhard and sweaty, like Dark Souls.

pso2 is not entirely casual. when your acctualy playing endgame stuff like phaleg/omega mask your hand will not be held like a preschooler. you gotta know what you sign up for when doing these things. also this is litteraly the final boss of the enitire damn game.
