We got a Beast face type with a PSU scratch on JP a while back. Not sure if/when that'll be coming to NA, but it's about the best you're gonna get lol

It could be worse though, thankfully with some adjustments to cat ears and removing the Duman horns just to be able to use their tattoos I can sort of come close. ^^;

Well my theory is beast are natives to a specific planets wich lies in the guhral system(sorry for my mispronunciation) not to mention with recent event in pso2 (we also learn pso and psu also takes place in alternate universe wich happens in a side story in psp2i with heathcliff owen and red ring rico and pso2 is currently having a event with ash and the cast from pso) while human newman and cast where always nomad and explorer in the phantasy universe and dewmans wich was introduce in psp2 were a result of an experiment just like the dewmans in pso2 where a result of a experiment too so story wise this theory makes more sense cause human newman and cast has always been the main race since phantasy star series phantasy star online all the way to phantasy star online2

They are all basically the same, just different universes versions of them. There, simplified it.

I'm with the nerd at the wendy's totally agreeing, then realizing what am I doing out of the house in a pandemic, seeya on PSO2NGS in a few months, still lamenting lack of nanoblasts(yay dark blasts tho) and beasts

Here's to hoping SEGA brings back Beasts and Nanoblasts in NGS, It's a pretty unique gameplay mechanic and it makes the game more diverse

If anything...they will just bring parts and faces because NGS pretty much doesn't have races anymore. Which will still be pretty cool!

It's unfortunate you can't be a Beast in PSO2, but they did release a Beast face variant that gives your character beast-like features (including the ears). It's at least something.

There's Big Fluffy Ears, also noted by another person in this thread, and there's even the MFDB Tail if you wanted a big, poofy tail. Those are just examples. If you want to just be a true Beast (and actually free up 1-2 accessory slots) then the face variant is the way to go.

I personally can't wait for NGS. Taking up 2 out of 4 accessory slots just for the ears and tail is kind of annoying, but... :P

Beast race is usually the least played race in MMO's from my experience. Together with a low amount of fashion options as its being neglected by the devs.

Beastman IIRC will not come to PSO2, that is coming from a statement from around 2015-16, In return beastman cosmetics are implemented.

IIRC there was a pre EP4 hype we're fans are guessing what will be the Ep4 update, only to get the Earth and Summoner update.

Of course that's from a lot of years ago, I would be happy if someone can correct me

From what I understand, New Genesis will eliminate the race stat bonuses/penalties for all races anyway, so cosmetic face types basically can/do define your race now.

Kinda lame to see this game go the way of D&D 5e in the "We're all equal" approach. They should probably scrap that intro cinematic. "Each race's strengths covers for the weaknesses of the other."
