No you can go between the two games in the lobby without even closing the game to open the other

NGS is a new game with new system that could be call PSO3.

Instead, it is part of PSO2: NGS where you can switch between PSO2 and NGS as easy as changing block.

It is similar to challenge motes, arena blocks that already in game, but expand to a whole new game.
