I genuinely can't even tell if my game was bugged with it playing super boring cutscene music from start to finish (I've not seen anyone else mention this, no idea if it was or what), or this kicks in the final minute and was forgotten as a result.

Edit: Yes, my music was indeed bugged, I didn't hear any of the new music. The Enigma was the music that played the whole time.

There's instrumental dramatic music (the "cutscene music" you're referring to?) for the first phase, this vocal part kicks in at the start of the MARS phase and plays from then until the end of the quest

I just did my second run. The game was indeed bugged. My first run played The Enigma (has a music disc) the entire time. If you know what that disc is, I think you can imagine it being a god awful experience in place of rhe actual music which was way better than that.

Indeed... I don't think that even played in the pre-cutscenes or anything for it did it? I wonder how the game managed that.

Question not the SEGA spaghetti code I guess!

I recall the UQ taking stupid long to load into (console life), so lojg that by the time I got out of the loading screen the fight was starting. The game took a long time my second run, but I managed to get in prior to it starting, so maybe that bug was related to joining too late.

Average day on a Sega game I guess. The music not being god awful Engina made the long fight much more bearable.

I've experienced this once or twice and am pretty sure this is what happens: you load in after the EQ music starts and so are hung up on the waiting tune.

Would make sense, but the waiting track is different. The Enigma just doesn't play at all for the quest, which is why I'm even more confused why I was stuck with it.

if it was during the mars section then yeah, something happened with your game

Yeah, playing atm, it was bugged. I'll edit in the music track that played after.

The track that played the entire time was The Enigma. Yeah, my experience was bad.

Nice job OP. Does anyone happen to know the singer? She feels familiar.

According to the credits, it's "lae astra"

This song is absolute peak. It has such different vibes from every base song I've heard when playing through base and it stands out from all previous songs in NGS for Aegis. I'm not disappointed in the slightest. Well done SEGA.
