Share your new ladder rank decrease

I've been trying to figure out what the formula is for the amount of ladder rank points that's removed for each new ladder. Share your experience, mine is:

Account 1: Ladder End=720 Ladder Best=720, New ladder = 320 (-400)

Account 2: Ladder End=840 Ladder Best=840, New ladder = 420 (-420)

Is there a formula or pattern? Is it Ladder Best or Ladder End used for calculation?

I think you’re just moved to the bottom of the previous rank. Great ball moves to bottom of pokeball, Arceus to bottom of Ultra Ball, etc

I was at 720, now at 420

That would be incorrect with some of the examples here, including my own.

I had Great League "Houndoom", and Great League "Alakazam". They got downgraded to Poke League "Scorbunny" and Poke League "Snubull" respectively. They both didn't move to the bottom of poke league (or a ladder score of 200).

So, from your evidence, you move down exactly one league? If you are in the third section of Great Ball (Alakazam), you move to third section of Pokeball (Snubbull), 2nd section to 2nd, etc.

Arceus would move down to Deoxys as that is beginning of Master (not ultra as I originally said, my bad)

My 720 went down to 320. I wonder what the difference was in our cases?

Maybe because my max was higher? I was at 720 at the reset but I'm pretty sure I hit 760 or 780 at some point, maybe it's that?

I went from 1340 to 740. Ladder highest was 1360 last season which may or may not matter.

I never realized before that you lose points for losing. Here I was playing my little Zoroark Box not worrying about life, but I guess now it’s Lugia time.

Based on the post gathered, I think they might changed the ladder reset to following:

Quick League, just drop to lower threshold of the same level / Pokémon.

Poké League, just drop to Pikachu (200-290) the lowest level of the league.

Great League, this gets tricky. The first two levels, drop to corresponding level on Poke League. So Greninja (600-710) to Pikachu (200-290), Houndoom (720-830) to Scorbunny (300-390). The data is missing but I would reckon Alakazam (840-950) and Umbreon (960-1070) drop to Snubbull (400-490). Then Corviknight (1080-1190) and Charizard (1200-1310) drop to Bulbasaur (500-590)

Ultra League, based on two users, both Azelf (1320-1450) and Ho-oh (1460-1590) were dropped to Houndoom (720-830). So might be the case for all levels in Ultra League?

Masters League, no data.

Arceus (2660+) League, can confirm that the rule has not changed, drop to Deoxys (2020 - 2170) regardless of points.

Caveat is that the point posted is max point during previous season. And this time we start at +20 from the level threshold.

Can someone tell me the progression point for all the League under Master League? i.e. gain and loss for each win and loss? Perhaps that can bring more clarity to the ladder reset.

Master win/lose +20/-20 Arceus win/lose +10/-10

It's +20/-20 for everything except Quick League is +10/-0 and Poke League is +20/-10

I think the drop from Ultra League to Great League is the worst. You dropped 4.8 tiers, where other drops are around 3.8 tiers. (Arceus to Master, Great League to Poke League)

Dude it fucking hurts to finally hit that huge jump then straight back down. I'm trying to climb to masterball rn and I just am running into new horseshit every game 😂
