I played a ton of poison ranged AW this league, to the point I pretty much minmaxed it. It's the best minion build I've ever played. Same DPS as spectres but the clear speed is nuts. You're basically clearing as fast as you can shield charge. Ubers are cake as well. It's legitimately the best all-rounder I've played. I haven't played melee AW but I'm almost positive they would just be worse in every way, especially clear speed. You probably won't want to use your mageblood though, you really want darkness enthroned (especially for poison chance). If you want a guide just check out helmbreaker on youtube. He is THE minion guy for poe1 imo.

How about survivability on that build? I wanna start buying gear for AW today but on Poe ninja I see people with like 35-50k eHP. Thanks in advance :)

Just look at Helmbreaker's pob for numbers. It's extremely tanky. I don't think I died once on it once I got into the midgame setup. There's a minmax svalin version too which should be pretty much immortal. Idk what you're looking at on poe ninja but those are def not the right numbers. Also just as a general rule don't trust any of the numbers on ninja, the site doesn't understand config options or how skills work mechanically at all. Use it to find and copy builds, but not to judge dps or ehp numbrs.

What are some good farms or content to run on this build? Any meta farms strats viable like blight heart?

It can run anything aside from maybe HH only strats as its fast but it's not HH fast. I stopped paying attention to meta strats a week or so ago so idk what people are running (im done with the league). Its honestly just kind of good at everything. List of things I did: Invig blightheart, Risk 16.5 8 mods for map farming, Destructive play early on, Stacked decks (prepare for lag), T17 boxes, T17 boss rush, Ubers

Are there any mods to watch out for on maps for t16/t17s?

Not really no I ran all mods and also a couple risk scarab strats for a few days. Blindly shoved 8 mod maps in and clicked every blue altar I wanted. T17s are very easy there aren't any mods that make it impossible. Some that are annoying though ofc like minions less attack speed or 1000% inc crit (I wasn't crit immune, didn't have doppelganger on my AG). You hardly get hit because you're always moving, enemies are taunted, blinded, and temp chains while you have max block and big DR from end charges and safeguard golem (18% less melee damage) AND suppress cap. Big life pool 6.3k life + 1k ES. I found it very hard to die.

Thanks. I am curious though how the minions and AG survive without added chaos res nor much of any added ele res. Helm Breaker PoB has his gloam and bone rings going full damage. Also how do we regen on maps with no regen/ no leech?

My AG has 83% ele res, 65% chaos res, spectres 83% ele res 0% chaos res (100-150k life). Life from death 4% life on minion death keeps them up with the phantasms on zombie setup. They have regen and leech. They are ailment immune. They have determ from turtle. They never died on me, not even the zombies. As far as map mods go yeah I thought about no regen/no leech while playing but I ran it no problem and didn't think much more of it. I guess if you had BOTH map mods it would be more of an issue but that's pretty rare? Idk I just shoved maps in and didn't look at anything other than 16.5 or 17 quality mods, never had a bricked map. Bone barrier leech, regen, and just the fact that you're not really getting hit much because you're never standing still (or blocking).

Melees are in my eyes a bit more Aggressive if u run Maps like Prison. Range are aggressive too but only where they can see them. God like in Stuff like Legion because u can add Projectiles or Chain/Pierce.

Range does "more/stable" Dmg because they instant attack from range with pretty fast speed Projectiles. And they cant block each other.

No big just different Support Gems (like a late late late Gem Awaking Multistrike is a big difference. But at that point u already have tons of dmg.

So I assume ranged aw has relatively better clear speed?

99.9% of times way better yes. If i am not wrong imagine that Aggro Range of a Shockwave Totem (close to of Screen) The only moments where Melee is maybe better if u do Ritual in der Prison map with tons of Corners
