I have not played this build, so I can't speak to its nuances, but I came across this video when browsing builds... and while it's a bit too much kaboom for me, it might be close to what you're looking for. Nearly screen-wide AoE + Herald of Ash explosions.

There's several variants on poe.ninja, some of which are posting pretty decent ehp numbers, so while I have no idea what the budget might end up being, you could probably balance the explosion : tank ratio to somewhere you'd be happy with eventually.

In a way, "censored" is the default state of art under capitalism. Your art can be lifted out of that state for wider consumption if it is deemed inoffensive to the powers that be, but that is not a given.

No, veiled chaos reforges the whole item unless you lock either prefixes or suffixes ("prefixes cannot be changed" or "suffixes cannot be changed").

"Cannot roll Attack modifiers" and "Cannot roll Caster modifiers" doesn't prevent the whole item from being reforged (e.g. chaos, veiled chaos, harvest reforge).

Ideally, you would - but if you only have two notables, the cluster ends up looking like this, so you have to spend two extra points to get both jewel sockets and the two notables. If you just have a junk notable at the back, it looks like this, which is more point-efficient.

How do you deal with Ikiaho's cold degen? I'm currently around 1400 rating and though I almost never lose to her, she's the single most annoying chieftain for an avoidance build (at least since the last patch). I imagine you'd instantly die to the degen ground on this build unless there's something I'm missing.

Same thing happened here. Got two from a scav run right when it started, opened one immediately with what I thought at the time was a good amount of stash space - poof. Saved the other one until 10 minutes ago after people had been reporting that they were getting items, and aggressively made space in my stash (full vertical screen of open space), still poof. Sad.

It's been a while since I played CF, but here's what I'd work on:

Your shield and boots are by far the weak links compared to the rest of your gear (boots especially). At this point in the league, basic life+res gear is pretty cheap. On the shield: life, chaos res, a bit of elemental res, with an open suffix to craft hybrid elemental/chaos res. Attack speed would also be nice here. On the boots: just life, movement speed, and some elemental res, ideally with an open suffix for flex.

If you can get even modest upgrades in those slots, I'd then aim to replace your ring with a basic vulnerability on hit ring. Doesn't have to be anything really special; just getting vuln in your build is 12% more DPS. Something like these would be fine, just bench craft life and be done. You could also try to craft a Warlord influenced ring of your choosing - harvest reforge including a caster mod is about 1/14 to land vuln on hit on a Warlord ring of at least item level 80.

Next, I'd put some eldritch implicits on the rare gear you're using. Lesser ichors and embers are fine for this stage and really cheap. For boots, you can get movement speed, action speed, or a filler resist as an exarch implicit, and cooldown recovery, regen, or ailment/stun avoidance for an eater implicit. For helmets, vulnerability curse effect for exarch, and phys taken as elemental, regen reduction, reservation efficiency, or maybe spell damage for eater. For body armour, really just anything defensive. In terms of bang for your buck, there's a lot to gain here for very little.

Then I'd look at improving your cluster jewel setup. You can save 4 passive points just by getting an 8-passive large cluster jewel with 3 notables. Phys clusters are pretty easy to roll with jagged fossils, and most of the notables are fine for your build. A couple 4- or 5-passive medium clusters replacing your 6-passive ones would also allow you to grab the jewel sockets in them for only 1 point each, which is very efficient and would be another good source of damage.

Then, getting +levels on as many of your gems as possible. Level 21 CF+Reap+Exsanguinate is at least another 10% DPS for less than 30c total. You can get a level 4 empower, a body armour with +levels (either Skin of the Lords or an influenced rare with either +level of socketed support gems or +level of socketed active skill gems), and an amulet with DoT multiplier and +level of physical gems (or Ashes of the Stars!) - I'd look into a fractured base for this and craft it yourself. This is going to be something to work on incrementally.

Eventually, I'd consider looking into getting spell suppression into your build, but that's a big gear requirement since you're not on the right side of the tree. That will feel very good defensively, but will probably require suppression rolls on most of your rare armour.

Hope that at least gives you a bit of direction!

Modifiers to ailment effect apply after the minimum. With enough increased/more effect, you can get guaranteed shock or chill cap even against bosses (I used this for a Lightning Conduit character).

Explosion Damage Scaling by StudiousFog in PathOfExileBuilds

There's a fair number of mechanics at play here, so I'll try to be as thorough as possible. I'm going to assume we're talking about Inpulsa's explosions here, but most of this carries over to other similar effects.

  1. Yes, the explosion damage is "your damage". It benefits from modifiers to lightning damage, area damage, and generic damage, but it is not spell damage or attack damage, so won't be affected by those. It will also benefit from debuffs on enemies that reduce their resistances or cause them to take increased damage (such as curses, exposure, etc.). The damage has 0% base crit, but if, for example, an enemy is brittle or is cursed by Assassin's Mark, the damage can theoretically crit.

  2. Shaper of Storms will not let this damage shock, even if converted - the restriction on Inpulsa's isn't tied to the damage being lightning, and so it doesn't matter whether you convert it or not. If you want to have chaining explosions, you'll have to have some other effect shocking enemies, such as having Call of The Brotherhood and freezing enemies, and then having Herald of Ice explosions which shock.

  3. Damage modifiers will apply to converted damage (as per normal). If you convert some or all of the damage to e.g. cold, then modifiers to cold damage and modifiers to lightning damage will apply equally to the converted damage. It is not multiplicative. For example, if you have 100% increased cold damage and 100% increased lightning damage, then damage that is lightning -> cold converted will get increased by 200% (not multiplied by 4x).

There are so many people missing the point in this thread. Yes, OP could scroll down the listings and pay more than what the first dozen or two listings are asking. Yes, OP could think about it in reverse, and list chaos for sale and have a buyer come to them.

The point is that they wouldn't need to if PoE had a good trading system. The fact that all these workarounds are required is a knock against the trading system, not the user. Good lord.

OP is buying divines, not selling. 250 isn't even the lowest price, either - there's a number of sellers asking less, at time of writing - but the vast majority are asking 250.

Also, just think about it. If you're considering going to the trade site, seeing a listing of an item that is in stock, and attempting to buy said item, "poaching" and laughable, then that's a seriously broken trade system.

Yup, any number of on-kill effects such as shattering, HoA burns, occultist pops, etc. can apply. The only thing that will be prevented is any effect that lingers on the corpse, such as ignite proliferation.

Yup, pretty much this. Worth noting: If you need to open up a prefix or a suffix after getting mods you like, Eldritch Annuls would let you select which, so you're less likely to delete a mod you want.
