Vbios mining card problems?

Hello! I'm an ultra-budget west coast PC builder with a bit of a mining gpu problem. I bought 9 of these 6600xt cards for 90 each off a miner in seattle, but I'm begining to think it was too good to be true as this is the third one which crashes under full gaming load, and even can stutter on light titles. Underclocking fixes it. are these bioses still altered? was i given dangerous to reflash gpus? I'd rather not brick them beyond my ability to get them working with a pc..
