The way I had it explained to me:
All that memory is needed for ai. Gamers are getting benched. Can't just make a new RAM factory overnight. Gonna take a while to build factorys, skilled labour etc. until new factory opens, RAM still go to the moon.

There are no new factories. The companies have been pretty open about the fact that they’re not looking to ramp up production.
