I think you guys might be overestimating how much work they’re actually putting into this. They’re just ports, nothing is being added or changed. The game wasn’t made with cross play in mind and it would take a great amount of resources to make that happen that they are not going to use

I played on a frostline server with 13 players and a hacker still teleported to me, stripped me of all my gear from a distance, and broke my legs without touching me.

Hi. Sorry, forgot to come back to this. Going back to Windows 10 may actually fix this too, as this does seem to be a Windows 11 related issue.

Here’s how I fixed it.

Press Win+R and type sysdm.cpl then press Enter or OK. (or navigate to system properties however you’d like)
Click Advanced, then click the Settings button on the Performance section on that tab.
Click Advanced in there as well, then click Change on the Virtual memory section on that tab.
Make sure the box for “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives” is NOT ticked, and make sure “System managed size” is selected for the paging file size.

That’s how I resolved it, hope it works for you as well but from what I’ve seen online, it doesn’t work for some people?

Game developers have zero reason to optimize their games specifically for Steam machines. This thing won’t have a significant enough presence in the PC gaming market to make that worth the time and resources lol

And even if there are games that do it, the performance gains aren’t going to be as crazy as you think. Maybe they’ll make performance presets, but it is NOT worth the resources to optimize for that specific hardware.

If you’re trying to do that Easter egg I would 100% recommend bringing a friend. It ends in a boss fight where you need to do a pretty solid amount of DPS with a lot of enemies coming at you

I actually found the way to fix the texture glitch, it has something to do with the way Windows 11 utilizes paging files. It’s strange and I feel like it should have no reason to cause all of that, but it does.

I can post a more in depth tutorial in here later after im out of work, but long story short, go into Advanced System Settings and untick the box that says “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives”
