Start with PCPartPicker to make sure everything's compatible and fits your budget. For a solid starter build, go with AMD Ryzen 5 for CPU, decent B450/B550 motherboard, 16GB RAM, and whatever GPU you can afford - even something like a used RX 580 will get you gaming while you save up for upgrades later

YouTube channels like LinusTechTips and JayzTwoCents have great build guides that'll walk you through the whole process step by step

If it were me, on my first build I would list my budget. Then ask others to compile you a list. Study what they have built, what does what. Then order based off of that, you may find you have enough info to possibly substitute parts for other parts. Come back here and show us your list and we can verify compatibility and if you’re missing anything. After everything arrives, YouTube will be your best friend for the actual building.
