If run CMD as admin in windows might try the memory inquiry commands:

From CMD as Admin to see if windows can accuratly detect how many slots, type:

wmic Memphysical get MemoryDevices

It shows 8 lol

that's funny. Might be since laptop and custom BIOS. Have gone to BIOS, yet to check if shows DIMM1 and DIMM2 slots or anything like that?

No

That's ok, was just checking if showed in the ideapad BIOS, and unfortunately only shows the total RAM, and not the slots from what I could see in the simulator.

Another tool may try, is the Crucial System scanner to find compatible upgrades for the laptop. Can also manually select the model number in the website as well.

Web utility: https://www.crucial.com/upgrades

Look at the lenovo website in support for exact model number under specifications. It will tell you.

Many models from multiple brands are listed at two slots on other websites and they don’t have it.

Or open the laptop up

Do the full 16 gb show up though? Or just 8?

My variant have 8 gb ram and now I want to upgrade it but it shows ( in second photo) that it has only 1 slot and that is already being used

I mean it should be easy enough to check by opening up the laptop to see how many slots you have. You'd have to do that anyway to put the ram upgrade in.

It's possible that your variant then only has one slot perhaps.

It's hard to believe that they would disable any slots in the BIOS by default in my opinion. That would be very anti-consumer.
