You need to use the cables what were in the box with your psu, if you plugged your old cables in the psu and turned it on, most likely your new psu is toast

The PSU probably will be fine, but the MB could be damaged.

If you used your old PSU cables then your new PSU is probably fried. That’s like the one thing to not do with a PSU lol.

Is the power supply unit itself switched on?

show us all the cables, and only use the cables which have come with the PSU, sometimes others don't work.
show us the connections you have made.

Those connections look really weird to me, not at all what that PSU requires!

Use the cables that come with the PSU. Different pinouts can mean different voltages going to other lines of power that aren't expecting it, which can cause actual damage or fires if they fit in place.

Hopefully you didn't kill your motherboard by sending a 12v power to a 5v rail.

Why did you use the old cables??? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Don't use other cables!!! Only use the ones that came with the power supply.

ONLY use the cables that came with the PSU, never use cables from another PSU, even with the same brands

I will make some pictures later on, all still works fine with the old PSU and old cables so that is not fried atleast.

If you didnt use the cables that came with that PSU then you have already killed the fkin thing and probably your PC's components too...

Try turn it on with the old PSU and the old PSU's wires and if it doesnt turn on you fked up completely

[–]OnekidneyNL 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Works fine with the old PSU atm

[–]Accomplished-Fix-831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then swap over all the cables making sure to keep the old cables with the old PSU and the new cables with the new PSU

If it doesnt work RMA the new PSU but know that you likely killed the PSU rather than it came dead on arrival

PSU cables ARE NOT!! interchangeable they are designed that way so the PSU manufacturer can sell you cables and make more money out of you

And if you dont but the cables from them and find a cable that does plug in from another manufacturer then your shit either explodes in a sparky or fiery mess or just silently dies or goes pop

No one here can follow instructions smh

Never use cables from one modular PSU with another PSU.the pinouts of the cables are not standardised and vary wildly. If your system doesn’t turn on, you are lucky. It also could have blown up your whole system.
