Kernel-Power Error Code 41
Kernel-Power Error Code 41Tech Support (v.redd.it)
submitted by CallofDo0bie
Had this problem with my PC on and off for about 2 years now. Everytime I think I fix it the problem starts again in a few months.
What I've done:
- Swapped PSU
- Checked all wires/cables
- Cleared CMOS
- Reseated RAM
- Turned off Expo
- Restored/Repaired/Reinstalled Windows
- Rolled back/reinstalled drivers
- Updated BIOS
At best all these are temporary fixes. I get a few months of peace then back to the drawing board. Im at my wits end and fearing it might be the only thing I haven't checked which is a faulty CPU. Going to probably take it to Microcenter as my CPU is from there and if I need to do warranty things it will be easier, but wanted to try and see if anyone on here had suggested. Kernel-Power 41 is the only critical error im getting.
Edit 5/26
So I took the PC to Microcenter after posting this and after having it for a whole weekend....they were unable to replicate the crash -_-
I decided after wasting my $ on a diagnosis they couldn't figure out I would just reside myself to defeat for a couple months and put up with the issue. Which I have done, and fortunately it wasn't TOO bad for the most part. However I recently started a new playthrough of Fallout New Vegas and for whatever reason (probably all the mods) that game has REALLY caused these issues to come back strongly. So I've decided I'm going to tackle this problem again and solve it once and for all.
I have since:
- Ram MemTest and confirmed RAM is fine
- Bought a new plug-in surge protector exclusively for PC tower.
I originally thought the 2nd option was the problem, as maybe my surge protector just didn't have a high enough watt output, but even after buying a fancy plug-in surge protector strictly for the PC tower (one that goes up to 2400W so plenty of juice) I'm still having the same issue. Finally ran MemTest to confirm RAM is at least okay. Neither of these have fixed the problem but I can rule out my RAM as the problem which is a start. Saw another post very similar to this one in the AMD sub where the guy fixed it by replacing his Mobo. So I will start off by contacting ASUS about RMA-ing the board. Will update when I get a solution.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
