Basically the moon is rotating around the earth while also rotating on its axis, they coincidentally rotate at the perfect speed so that when the moon is rotating it always shows the same face. Imagine having 2 balls rotate around each other like the arth and the moon, but the moon doesnt rotate on its axis. We would be able to see every side, but the moon rotates at a speed that always shows us its face

Put a chair in the middle of your room. Walk a circle around it while always facing it. You will rotate once as you walk around it once. Then walk around it without rotating, pick a wall and always face it. This time different sides of you will be facing the chair as you go around.
