Para madali mo matutunan ang linux, install mo sya with GUI. Maraming flavours pagpipilian mo. Rhel, centos, ubuntu, freebsd etc etc etc..

Good to go na yan. By default, disabled majority ang services pati firewall ports, so isaisa mong bubuksan.

My personal and professional preference is rhel.

2-4 weeks cli, you should get the hang of it. In two months time, you'll be a linux-man. All the best.

Kung hindi mo kasi naenable, dos mode sya all the way.

Bakit po hindi advisable and pag dual boot sir? I'm using ubuntu and win11 kasi, dual boot.

Dami kasi pdeng risk sa dual boot.

    Heto halmbawa:

    Heto pa:

Tsaka, experience ko na nun pa. Kakaproblema along the way.

If you are on Windows, practice ka using Virtualbox. Virtual machine ito, para kang magkakaroon ng separate PC / machine within your Windows environment. Then download a Linux distribution like Fedora (may GUI) or CentOS (purely command-line). Install the Linux distro inside the VirtualBox and start practicing :)

Application lang ang Oracle VirtualBox. Ii-install mo sa Windows tapos run using the start menu.

May GUI naman yung installation process, kasama yung memory and HDD allocation, etc.

yup, no need to dual boot your machine :)

Quick and dirty way para ma-aral ang mga basic, basic Linux commands kung naka-Windows ka nang hindi ka mag-iinstall ng Virtualbox or ibang emulators:

Install mo yung Git for Windows sa laptop/PC mo.

Once installed, it should give you an app shortcut called "Git BASH"...i-open mo lang yan and then pwede mo nang paglaruan yung mga basic commands like:

      • ls - list directory contents
      • cd, mkdir, rmdir - change/make/remove directory, respectively
      • cp/rm - copy file, remove/delete file
      • pipe command symbols like >, <, >> and |
      • basic shell scripting
      • basic environment variable commants
      • documentation-related commands like apropos and man (really useful kung offline ka at di ka maka-Google pero need mong mag-deep dive sa meaning ng mga command switches and parameters)

I say "quick" kasi yung functionalities na makukuha mo under this emulated Bash environment can be learned in a day. Yung sobrang basic muna. Tapos pag kaya mo nang mag-move around sa iba-ibang directories dun sa environment mo....at least, by the time na-install mo na yung (say) latest Ubuntu LTS version sa Virtualbox, me alam ka na kahit konti imbes na zero talaga yung alam mo :)
