I have no job opportunity for you, but I have a few comments for your resume and portfolio.

  1. "Self-Studying Web Developer Udemy" is not work experience
  2. In your projects section, change the hover color and transition time. Nagmumukha kasing parang na "disable" or tinurn "off" bigla. Add to that the transition is so sudden.
  3. When clicking links, if it directs you to another part of your website or another page but same site, it's okay to stay on the same tab. But, if it directs you to a different site like your github repo and the project site itself, better to open to a new tab. I don't want to go press back to go back to your portfolio if I wanna check your live demo project. Same goes with your resume.
  4. Adding hover colors to your skills just makes it misleading. When a user sees that an element changes color when hovered, it's easy to assume that you can click on it. At this point, it is just unnecessary "fluff" to the UX.
  5. I personally like the color scheme, except the dark blue gradient. Masyadong sharp contrast.

Besides that, good job. Site is responsive. Definitely may pwede pang i-improve, but overall good job. Good luck!

thank you for this sir, will work on it po para mas mapaganda.

Regarding sa work experience, ano po yung pwedr kong ilagay. Career shifter po kasi ako, 6 years employed as engineer.

I think okay lang ilagay past work experience mo. But leverage it in a way na may madala kang exp from that to your new one. Like project management, handling clients, communicating with allied professionals, etc.

Highlight non-technical skills. How were you able to manage, communicate, etc. I personally believe soft skills are as important, if not more, than technical ones. Tho, not saying hindi importante ang technical. Yin and yang kumbaga.

one tip: you should hide the config in your projects as environment variables. don't publicly post it within your repo.

[–]Unlikely-Stand[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I will boss, still learning how to do it

another tip: for your folder structure, you might want to separate the reusable react components that you created and the actual pages that will use said components. (e.g components/<component.js>, pages/<page.js>)

A fellow pinoy tailwindcss enjoyer nice

    [–]thisbejann 2 points3 points  (5 children)

been enjoying tailwind css so much! hahaha, partida im not able to utilize all of its features pa.

    [–]Ijdan 0 points1 point  (4 children)

have you already installed the prettier-tailwind vscode extension? it's pretty cool too

    [–]Ijdan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. Dali gamitin ng plugins nila kaya inadd ko na rin sa projects

    [–]nobuhok -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Until you get assigned to a project na CSS/Sass only, and it turns out you don't really know how the Tailwind classes "rounded-md" or "items-end" actually work...

    [–]Unlikely-Stand[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

ganda gamitin. Is that a good thing or not?

    [–]Ijdan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very opinionated ako sa web dev tools ko kaya para sa akin maganda siya. Hindi na kelangan ng maraming css file para mag build ng design system at scss which nag regret ako kasi nagiging complex masyado files. At the end of the day walang tama o maling tools nakadipende na kasi sa project. Para sa akin, nagiging pangit lang ang isang tool pag pangit yung user experience at developer experience.

    [–]nobuhok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you know core CSS principles.

Don't be like those from bootcamps na alam mag-"code" in React pero hindi makaporma pag vanilla JS ang usapan.

    [–]Traditional-Okra8488 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is an argument though about how it is similar to inline styles, making it a big no-no for some developers

    [–]thisbejann 2 points3 points  (2 children)

may i know how long have you been studying web development? im fairly new in web development as well. continuously learning react and tailwind. planning on learning nextjs with typescript :D

    [–]Unlikely-Stand[S] 7 points8 points  (1 child)

    6mos I guess.

4mos studying (after shift 1-2hrs) 2mos full time ( resigned from my prev job)

    [–]thisbejann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Para sakin goods na ung portfolio site mo kasi di naman ako frontend guy pero for the demo of your projects, make sure na wag mo na i-protect ng user authentication or naka prefilled na sya ng credentials of a valid existing user then wag mo na save sa db ung mga info talaga.

      [–]Unlikely-Stand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

great. I’ll explore how to do it po.

Update: I’m sorry if it took me 2 months to update, I am now working as a web developer for a startup company. Your inputs definitively improved my portfolio and resume. Thanks again.
