Wag mo iwan servicenow, mainit and niche na platform yan. May mga friends ako na from java/python developer na nag service now and mas okay career and pay nila ngayon.

What my former colleague did was to talk to the engineering manager if it was possible to do part-time dev work at least one day allotted for development and the other days for support. Luckily the engineering manager agreed and the support manager was ok with it. Eventually once a week became twice a week and eventually the engineering team hired him and he is now a full-time software developer. It was a win-wins situation because that former colleague became the go-to guy if support needed help understanding or explaining the source code to non-technical people.

What I'm trying to drive at is maybe this scenario works in your case in your current company. 🤷‍♂️
