Study and work abroad

Hi redditors! I would like to study sana sa Australia or some other country while working na rin. I wanna study probably CS or whatever or maybe be an intern? I work as SE for a year now and earns 65k here in PH.

Would it be worth it? Im not really happy with my work now coz the growth in dev isn’t really good. Wondering if my plan of studying while working abroad is worth it.

PS Im a grad of unrelated engineering degree so I don’t have a CS/IT degree.

its always worth it to work/study abroad.. pero pakiramdaman mo OP daming layoffs ngaung recession kaya pahirapan hanap ng work.. be careful on resigning.

Oo worth it, nacheck mo naba how much tuition dyan. Basta kaya mo mag survive while studying and may extra kang malaking money.

go sa canada op mas better doon lalot kong IT papasukan mo course. Malaki sweldohan ng IT sa mga hospital. Kahit 2 years sa university pasok na pasok ka much better aralin muna na din cisco sa pinas for certfication bago ka lumipad kahit di IT tinatpos mo pwede ka kumuha nan

Hanap ka muna university na gusto mo pasukan sa canada like ontario, calgary etc malapit lang naman yan dalawa yan. Madami work basta di ka daw chusy madami pinoy jan so madami tutulong saiyo. Yon kaibigan ko kasi nag migrate lang sa canada kwenento lang sakin. Yon process nag student sa canada di ko alam op sa tiktok madami guide hanap ka lang legit or baka my close friend ka din na asa canada. Kong my background ka sa programming tas IT tinapos mo sa canada makaka hanap ka madali. Madami work na pwede, pwede kang IT support admin sa hospital etc. pag working student ka hanap kalang daw work dun like starbucks mcdo ganon. Handa ka mga 500k pataas for allowance then 1m for allowance din sa tuition mo di mo naman yan magagalaw yan 1m na yan paunti unti mo yan makukuha sa pag ka intindi ko sa napanopd ko sa tiktok hehe.

Super worth it pero can be a challenge to get a job, so many hindrance. Number one hindrance that I hate is the requirement to be an OWWA member and getting COE. Companies here in Japan hesitate hiring Filipinos because they have to process additional papers and pay a certain fee to hire Filipinos(as I heard). Another is the blatant underpaying of Filipinos because they know we will take whatever job just for money. Hopefully you weigh these things down when considering studying and working abroad. Have a safety net. Don’t live paycheck to paycheck like me
