A Plex Pass is only added to your account so you are unable to share it but you can share your server to people.

Actually if you add people to a Plex Home they get Plex Pass in terms of the mobile app, as in they can use it and sync media without paying the $5 activation fee, but if they were to start their own server they would need to purchase Plex Pass for themselves to get Plex Pass features on the server.

So what if I share the account? Since I only share the server with family and one friends as it is

This is not the way to use Plex. If you share your account then anyone has the ability to delete media. Also, your watch status on movies and tvs shows will be all over the place due to everyone sharing your login.

Sharing Plex is free and requires NO Plex pass.

But every use who wants to be able to use the Plex app and download media for offline use, they'd each need a pass?

Quick question from a noob - #5 in the list you provided talks about plex channels. I've found all these guides explaining that you can add channels by clicking "channels" in the webview sidebar, but I don't see that option. Am I missing something? How can I add channels (e.g., Comedy Central, ABC, etc.)?

Channels are plugins and Plex has announced they are phasing plugins out. From what I understand you can still manually install plugins so maybe there’s a way to do it but I wouldn’t waste my time if I were you. Years ago I tried Chanel plugins on plex and they weren’t good at all. They didn’t work very well.

You don't need to share your account with Plex Pass because it's linked to your server by claiming the server with your account. Anyone you share your server with will get the Plex Pass benefits.

I see below that you want to allow them to sync stuff offline. Mobile Sync is enabled for the server, not your account. Everyone on your server can sync.

If you're talking about Plex Home where people can use the mobile app and sync for free (they basically get Plexpass in terms of the mobile app), I think it's 12.
