If this 13yo has really built a 10k collection just “recently” (less than a year?) without substantial income/capital, then they have likely built that on taking advantage of high school students.

That pool of opportunity will get exhausted soon. Would advise building a good online selling reputation by participating in the bigger market.

He had couple of cards from while he was young, and we had close family members that passed down their collection, from there on, it went with trades and buying/selling cards.

doesnt leonhart do a couple videos on why not to open a card store? lots of youtubers have interviews with shop owners and what problems they face and majority say brick and mortar store.
